Join the conversation with Minister of Agriculture: Engaging Young Farmers and Youth in Agriculture, Nov 25

The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay is hosting a Facebook Live-Chat this coming Friday to hear from young farmers in Canada. With consultations underway on the next Federal-Provincial Agricultural Policy Framework, as well as the future development of a National Food Policy, this is a great opportunity to share your experiences and highlight both the challenges and opportunities facing new farmers in Canada.

Share your thoughts on why supporting new farmers is vital to building a sustainable and resilient food system in Canada!

Facebook Live event - Friday, November 25 at 9:00am EST.

Minister MacAulay, along with a panel of youth in agriculture from Atlantic Canada will talk about their experience in the sector, programs and services for new and young farmers, and future policies and programs for the sector.

You can submit questions on Facebook in advance, or on Twitter using the #AskAAFC hashtag.

We need more new farmers and we need national policy to support them.
