'Living Wage' May Help to Reduce Poverty and Hunger in B.C First Nation Community

A recent article posted in the Vancouver Sun notes that the Huu-ay-aht First Nation on the west coast of Vancouver Island will be implementing a a 17.22 minimum wage policy. This wage policy is known as a 'living wage' policy such that it takes in to account every day costs incured by a family, and the wages needed to not simply 'get by' but live.
