The Prime Minister’s recent mandate letter calls on the Minister of Agriculture to : “Develop a food policy that promotes healthy living and safe food by putting more healthy, high-quality food, produced by Canadian ranchers and farmers, on the tables of families across the country”. ​ What an amazing opportunity!

Forty of the 162 candidates who attended our Eat Think Vote events were elected to the House of Commons and five of them have been appointed Minister. We think there is a deeper understanding of food issues in Cabinet than ever before in Canadian history. Working together with all our Eat Think Vote partners, we helped to achieve this result! But don’t think for a second we have any plans of stopping now!
