School grows healthy appetite
DIANA MARTIN: Georgi Krumov is whipping up some fresh ideas when it comes to nutrition at Montessori The Place To Grow in Chatham.
“I was wondering, 'What are they eating in school? How are they doing?'” said Krumov. “When I saw the position was open here I automatically asked for it.”
Krumov, who is an international chef, has created dishes for a variety of palates from a five-star French establishment in Kuwait to opening his own sushi restaurant in Chatham.
“There's not that many chefs with international experience that can say they work in daycare and love it,” said Krumov. “But once you try it? I love these customers. I show (them) the same respect as anywhere else.”
