Becoming a volunteer with Food Secure Canada.

Food Secure Canada is a pan-Canadian alliance of organizations and individuals working together to advance food security and food sovereignty through three inter-locking goals: zero hunger, healthy and safe food, and sustainable food systems.

FSC is offering volunteers passionate about food policy the ability to contribute to its dynamic activities.

In particular, we want to build a team of motivated volunteers to help us with communications and research activities.

If you want to promote a healthy, just and sustainable food system in Canada while developing skills and team spirit, we warmly invite you to join our team!

Volunteering activities will preferably take place in a team in our office in downtown Montreal.

Current volunteer opportunities:

[Volunteer] Communications

FSC wants to offer the possibility to volunteers passionate about food policies to contribute to the dynamism of its activities. In particular we seek to build a team of motivated volunteers to help us in communications and research activities.

[Volunteer] Graphic Designer

We are looking for a skilled graphic designer to create engaging images for events, campaigns, webinars and more.  If you are passionate about food and good at conveying complex ideas with images please get in touch!  The time commitment is occasional based on FSC's needs.

[Volunteer] Translators

Staying true to our mandate to be a bilingual organization, we strive to translate all of our web material, newsletters and other communications with our networks.  We need translation from both English to French and French to English.  We are looking for people who have some experience with translation and / or excellent writing skills in one or the other language.  Time commitments range between occasional to regular weekly commitments (3 - 8 hours)
