[WEBINAR] Food Insecurity in Canada: Identifying Policy Options to Reduce Household Food Insecurity
Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 1 PM Eastern time
Location - Online Webinar
The latest statistics on household food insecurity in Canada tells us that the story remains the same — it is a large problem that hasn’t gotten any better for as long as it has been systematically monitored. There needs to be more effective responses from provincial and federal governments if we are to address this serious public health problem.
Join us for a webinar with Valerie Tarasuk (PROOF, University of Toronto), Afua Asantewaa (Food Secure Canada), and Kristina Craig (Yukon Anti-Poverty Coalition) for a discussion on the current state of food insecurity in Canada, who are most at risk, and the evidence-based policy interventions that reduce food insecurity by improving the financial resources of low-income households.
This webinar will be based on PROOF's report published on August 16, 2022, Household Food Insecurity in Canada, 2021
