Learn From Toronto’s Food Movement (Thursday, October 13):
What’s a trip to Toronto without a tour of some of the amazing food and farming organizations the city has to offer? See how downtown Toronto has been revitalized by community gardens and urban agriculture. Compare what two diverse neighbourhoods are doing to increase access to good food. Learn about neighbourhood partnerships that are actively addressing food security issues. Across the city, Torontonians are creating innovative responses to some of the most pressing food issues. Take a Stand: Exhibitor Showcase (Friday, October 14):
Don’t miss this incredible chance to showcase your organization or business at Resetting the Table. A full-day exhibitor showcase will place your organization in front of the most prominent and passionate food sovereignty and food sustainability leaders. The Assembly draws attendees from all walks of life including many of Canada’s food leaders from across the country. This is absolutely a unique opportunity to showcase your organization as a key resource to the Canadian food movement. Get a spot for your organization here. (Deadline: Friday October 7)
Feast: Celebrate With Local Food (Saturday, October 15, 7pm):
Celebrate the meeting of the Canadian food movement with a feast featuring organic produce from some of the country's best farmland. The seasonal menu includes our favourite fall foods, with Ontario specialties like pickerel and black walnuts. A cash bar will be offered. Food for the feast has been generously donated by Pfenning's Organic Farm, Yorkshire Valley Farms and Hooked. Purchase a ticket on our registration page (Deadline: Monday October 10, ignore the other registration information if you are already registered)!
