Bits and Bytes | News from the Food Movement - March 2016

Nutrition Month has been busy! The Great Big Crunch was heard across Canada with 200,000 children biting into apples in unison, and they were joined by MPs and Ministers at an event on Parliament Hill with Food Secure Canada and the Coalition for Healthy School Food. As well, the Senate's called for an urgent overhaul of Canada's Food Guide in their Obesity in Canada report which we echo and want to see the sustainability of food systems included in the redefinition of healthy food.

MEDIA - Thousands of kids crunch on apple countrywide to promote local, healthy school food
