Community Bulletin Board - FSC Assembly

Got an idea for a workshop at Waves of Change: Sustainable Food for All  Food Secure Canada's 8th national assembly in Halifax that you want to jam with others about?

Maybe you are looking for someone else to present with?

Or perhaps you want to throw out an idea for a workshop that you hope someone else might do?  (I want to learn more about how to get media attention on my community food project - can someone offer a workshop?)

Post your ideas here!

(you will need to 'log-in' to our website in the upper right hand corner - it's the only way for us to avoid spam - sorry!)

Have you been involved in a dynamic and exciting project that engaged students in bringing about change around food insecurity? Do you see missed opportunities for engaging students in research and action related to food insecurity?

Activating Change Together for Community Food Security (ACT for CFS) has worked with dozens of students over the years on a range of projects and we want to highlight the incredible work that students can bring to research and action on food security.

If you are interested in participating in or attending a panel related to the role of students in food security, then we want to hear from you!

Send us an email and let us know what topics or questions you want to learn more about. Or let us know if you're interested in participating in a presentation on your work.

We are a Nova Scotia based project, part of the Food Action Research Centre (FoodARC) at Mount Saint Vincent University. Visit: foodarc.ca/actforcfs to learn more about us.

I would be interested in having some targeted training to improve our movement's media savvy and advocacy effectiveness... a workshop on navigating Ministries- How to Get Policy Change or a workshop on "successful media interactions" could be useful. Anyone else interested in such training/ skills development?

You can do some interesting cooking competition in schools to make children aware about food security. You can think about some street shows. I guess there are lots of ideas if you start thinking about food. I am also interested to see what new you are going to bring outr here. directv select package Thanks for sharing.
