Remote or Northern Food Security

Food Secure Canada has been funded by the Rural Secretariat of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada to undertake a knowledge-building project for Remote and Northern Communities titled Local Food Connections. The project will run from 2011 to 2013.

If you are interested in learning more about this project or getting involved, we'd love to have you complete our Local Food Connections survey and join our next teleconference on June 29th from 2-3.

You can:

  • Connect to free quarterly teleconferences and other learning opportunities
  • Help build and benefit from an online inventory
  • Meet other northerners interested in food security

The survey will remain open through 2011 so we can hear from new people as they join.  For any questions, please contact northernfood@foodsecurecanada.org.
